The Process
"Growing-In-Faith" is the certification process for all religion teachers/catechists. Catechetical leaders should have the gray-colored manual which outlines this program. Religion teachers and catechists should have a copy of the aqua-colored "Growing-in-Faith Handbook."

Requirements
Courses are offered for all religion teachers/catechists. Certification can be attained from the Basic Level to the Continuing Education Level. Following are the requirements for each level:

Basic Level 40 clock hours

Intermediate Level 40 clock hours in addition to the Basic

Advanced Level 40 clock hours in addition to the Intermediate

Continuing Ed. Level 25 clock hours in addition to the Advanced (may be received more than once)

Master Catechist Level 100 clock hours in addition to the Advanced
