1.

Grants are limited to parish religious education programs with a focus on youth and those who work with youth.

2.

Any parish in the Diocese of Toledo may submit a grant application. 

3.

Any two or more parishes in the Diocese of Toledo may submit a grant application.

4.

Any deanery in the Diocese of Toledo may submit a grant application.

5.

Preference will be given to programs which have implications for diocesan-wide implementation.

6.

Grant monies may be used to enhance existing programs or to initiate new programs.

7.

Applications may be made at any time during a given fiscal year.

Fiscal Limitations

1.

Grants are usually matched 50%-50% with the parish/deanery.

2.

Individual parish grants are limited to $1000.00.

3.

Grants for two or more parishes need not be subject to the $1000.00 limit.

4.

Grants for deaneries need not be subject to the $1000.00 limit.

5.

Exceptions will depend on clearly demonstrated financial need.

6.

Ordinarily, ancillary expenses such as food, drink, travel, and lodging will not be considered.

Procedures

1.

Applications for an individual parish grant must be submitted and signed by both the Pastor/Pastoral Leader and the Catechetical Leader. 

2.

Applications for a grant for two or more parishes must be signed by each Pastor/Pastoral Leader and Catechetical Leader.

3.

Applications for a Deanery grant must be signed by the Dean and indicate that the majority of the Pastor/Pastoral Leaders and Catechetical Leaders from his deanery approve of the grant.

4.

Requests will be reviewed within a month of their receipt, and, if the grant is approved, a letter of approval will be sent in a timely manner.

5.

Monies will be released upon the submittal of receipts and the completion of the evaluation form which will be sent out with the letter of approval.

6.

All receipts must be received within one month following the end of the event.

7.

If, at the end of the fiscal year, there are unclaimed funds, the remainder of the grant is forfeited.
