Nkosiyethu Primary Catholic School is located in the northern part of the KwaZulu-Natal Province.  This area is known as Zululand.  The Zulu people have lived here for hundreds of years. 

 

Nkosiyethu is located in the town of Nongoma.  It is a deep rural town in a very poor area of the country.

 

 

 

 


Maris Stella Primary Catholic School is located in the southern part of the KwaZulu-Natal Province.  The Zulu people live in this part of the province, too. 

 

There are very large sugar cane farms in KwaZulu-Natal.  Maris Stella Primary Catholic School sits in the middle of a sugar cane farm.  The parents of the school children are the farm workers.  The farm workers and their families are very poor.

 

Maris Stella School is located between Sunwich Port which is on the coast and St. Faith’s which is inland.
