SUPERINTENDENT…

Hopefully, the above logo looks familiar. Our long range school planning effort, “Catholic Schools Initiative 2010” continues! Even during the summer, usually the “off-season” for school planning, work has been progressing in several of our regions.
We also see that the planning process is evolving. Different needs and situations require different approaches. But in all cases, the same four elements are present in all of our ongoing long-range planning efforts:
In the coming weeks, I’ll be providing updates on specific efforts and examining how the long-range planning process is evolving to meet regional and local needs. Also, be sure to check our website: www.cyss.org/Summit/summit.html This page will be updated in the near future.
Every long-range school planning study starts with a look at demographics. For your own planning, an excellent website for demographic information is: www.city-data.com This website provide much detailed information by state, by city, by zip code, etc.

If a

crafted by Mr. Tom Pletz, Diocesan Attorney for schools
